Our Schedule

First Steps

Project Guidelines

We are going to determine the project guidelines. You can read a draft here: Wikitution:project guidelines

Providing the text of the rejected constitution

We hope to provide the text of the rejected constitution in all european languages as soon as there are contributors, who want to use this language.

Second Steps

Rewriting the Constitution in all European Languages

Everybody shall have the possibility to contribute in his own language. We are well aware that this can cause a great amount of work, when we reintegrate all versions later into one draft, but, hey you do not write a constitution often, do you?

Election of a Translation Committee

The translation commitee will have to join all language versions into one huge draft. The members of the commitee will be elected by the contributors.

First Milestone: The Common Draft

When we got the first drafts in the different languages, we will make a first cut, and the translation commitee will create a first common draft of the constitution. This draft will present all major differences of each language version so that we all can read what others have written.

This common draft will be discussed in the further process.

Second Milestone: The Revised Common Draft

After detailed discussions and revisions in each european language, we will create a second milestone, a revised common draft. The revised common draft is the basis of the voting process. The draft is structured into

- parts of general consent

- controversial parts where we need a tie break by voting

Voting process

Voting about the controversial parts

Third milestone: The Final Common Draft

After the voting process the translation commitee will translate the final draft into all european languages.

This draft might be the subject of a general european referendum.
